Communicating research findings to the public is an important activity that all scientists need to improve on. I enjoy actively engaging in both digital and in-person public outreach activities and the NHMLA Ichthyology lab regularly does so. See some photos of outreach events we've been to below!
I have also participated in creating Spongebob related educational content for Nickelodeon in partnership with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Check out those videos below!

In addition to public speaking events, I also run an instagram account called 'Planet of fishes' where I post interesting facts about fishes that I come across in the collection or out in the field.
